—I can usually tell when an artist is putting forth an effort to balance work, life, and art in a fair fashion, and those that treat drawing as a self-serving hobby that happens to earn them money. To those who genuinely do their best in art and customer relations—thank you.

In the end, artists who do their best to be open, honest, and diligent in their art, communication, and work ethic art worth their weigh in gold. I’m not saying artists should slave away with no breaks and always have a short turnaround, but—.

—I want anyone to think I am bitter against all artists. There are some great ones out there—and I don’t just mean “good at drawing.” I’ve ditched some of those thanks to their awful personalities or poor handling of commissions.
