We have successfully deployed the antenna onboard our newest spacecraft! This involves precise tensioning of the reflector to approximately 3.5m in diameter while orbiting at 17,500 mph.

On 13th Feb a large #landslide occurred at #Copler gold mine in eastern Turkey. It is believed the failure started at a heap-leach facility but the cause is not yet known. @capellaspace captured this post-failure image which shows the extent and morphology of the slide.

We are monitoring Hurricane #Ida with our #SAR satellites to image through the clouds and at night. This image captures the flooding of the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans at 10:14 PM local time Sunday. At a 7 degree look angle, bright areas indicate watery surfaces.

A Union Pacific train derailed this weekend in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Our automated systems rapidly tasked, acquired and delivered 50cm very high-resolution #SAR imagery of the site. A close inspection shows the nearly 28 cars derailed as well as the cars remaining on the tracks.
