5. Power play Coach - unlikely as hell, but we need a legit power play coach who isn’t RBA. The cycle, cycle, cycle, random shot at the goal stuff is a buzzkill. Saw some traction in playoffs, but not consistently. Could improve with our roster changes, but I’m skeptical.

4. Re point 1: Jarvy is not your 2C. Let Aho and Jarvy do what they do. That chemistry plus Ehlers could be a magic first line. You can always try Stank at 2C, but you’d need beefy wingers with him.

3. PK’s gotta start more-I know Freddie’s contract makes this tricky, but PK has gotta stay warm to stay hot. We know this. Freddie can mentally handle breaks. I’d love to see a 50ish/30ish split during the season.

2. Don’t pair Chatty and Slavo-Niki and Key can explode this season if they’re supported well. They’re big, they’re fast, and Niki (maybe Key can get there) is physical. All things we need. I’d love to see them be big, fast, gritty two-way defensemen. That’s the goal.

My wishlist for the Canes season, a 🧵:. 1. Give KK a last ‘chance’-if he’s gonna be on the opening roster give him some solid time for fifteen games. (He’s gonna need to look polished for trades anyway.) if he’s good, ride that til February, if not, it’s early enough to deviate.
