The City generally, and I specifically, don't dismiss businesses' concerns. We are reviewing proposed physical layout as well as better parking mgmt. Goal: a balance achieving safety and access for all + improvements to biking, walking, and transit (2/2).

Citywide mobility plan + newly introduced legislation for a Transportation Demand Management program along transit corridors = streets and land use where walking, biking, and transit work for residents @MayorBibb @CityofCleveland @Bike_CLE.

Our previous Bikeway Master Plan was adopted in 2007 and last updated in 2014. This citywide mobility planning process will bring our bike network into the present day, plus integrate pedestrian and transit accommodations into a truly multimodal approach.

The updated citywide mobility plan will guide rapid bikeway buildout, pedestrian improvements, and multimodal programs & policies. It will be our roadmap to transform our streets to make the 15-Min City experience a reality for CLE.

We appreciate all the feedback and will continue to take it into account to improve bike connections on Lorain and across Cleveland.

Addl striping, signage, and protection will be installed in coming days, including wayfinding signage directing riders to the separated bike/ped path on the north side of the Lorain-Carnegie bridge – the preferred and encouraged route for cyclists riding into Downtown.

The new Lorain Avenue bike lanes are an interim treatment-an extra enhancement to a routine resurfacing project-that closes a key gap in our bike network while we design & fund the Lorain Midway. They are a marked improvement over what was there before & construction isn't done.
