HALF of all government spending goes to healthcare. Democrats are arguing the solution is to spend more money. Republicans are engaging in robust conversations to REFORM this broken system that is bankrupting families while making us sicker.

When you add up Medicare, Medicaid, military healthcare spending, government employee healthcare premiums, social security payments that go to healthcare, and the interest on the debt tied to healthcare - more than half of ALL government spending goes to this single issue.

My jaw dropped when I saw this number: more than 50 PERCENT of government spending goes to healthcare. Yet we have lowest life expectancy in developed world. Democrats look at this and want more spending. Republicans want reform.
