I have been banging this drum for years. D-II has dropped the ball for what is now, a very long time. Regionalization has cheated deserving teams, deserving athletes for decades.
It is time for change. As the initial rounds of the NCAA D2 men’s basketball “national tournament” take place this weekend think of the talented players and teams who deserve to be in the 64 team bracket but didn’t get in because Division II has a regional model.

Very Happy for Nebraska Volleyball. What an outstanding year for their program. The trophy is an award for the hard work it took to get to the championship match. Too bad D2 does not provide the same recognition to the team that made it to their championship match.

If you think Nebraska's success in the NCAA tournament was because of a new strategy or the emergence of a hidden talent you would be wrong. It was the cumulative effect of coaches and players going to work every day and not losing sight of their goal of getting better.

People say, "Confidence comes from experience", but really it doesn't. Confidence comes from 4 things: 1. Knowing what to do. 2. Knowing how to do it. 3. Feeling capable of doing it. 4. Expecting a good result. All 4 are needed. If one is missing, doubt kicks in.
