I am liking what we're seeing from him today in terms of motor going after offensive rebounds. That's the kind of stuff that a rookie can actually change with effort from Game 1 to 2 in a situation like this.

Matas Buzelis laughing after that game; “They were low key beating me up.”. Dunked the ball a little hard but felt good physically. Won’t play tomorrow, will play Monday. That’s his last summer league game.

Summer league results should be taken with a grain of salt, but a 44-point blowout is rough in any setting. Next one up in less than 24 hours.

Not surprised or concerned about any of the discomfort we've seen from Noa Essengue so far. That being said — accidentally knocking a ball into your own basket off a rebound is probably the least desired lowlight for any rookie at summer league.

A little bit of action from Noa Essengue. The rookie couldn't finish off a nice turnaround jumper, but next trip down the court flushed a dunk off a really nice transition feed from Kawamura.

As planned, Matas Buzelis is getting a lot more on-ball reps in this game. That will be a major area of emphasis for him in Year 2 — growing into a role as a secondary playmaker, creating (and finishing) off the dribble.
