This week in Food and Fun we wanted to teach leaners about nutrition and how they can implement it into their diets. We created our own lunches making bacon, cheese and courgette muffins and chicken and vegetable kebabs. A big thank you to @castellhowell for donating the food!

EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY !.Our family School Nyth Y Deryn have an opening available for a Senior Teaching Assistant specializing in the intervention, engagement and safeguarding of 90 learners.The school provides supports for learners from high schools across the Cardiff region.

This is an ideal opportunity for professional development for education staff or anyone with an interest in groups of vulnerable learners. Please contact AdminN6@hwbcymru for more information or to show an interest.

This would be 3 meetings per year learning about attendance, engagement, wellbeing, safeguarding and curriculum and being a critical friend. There will be opportunities for engaging further in the PRU and its MER processes for those with an interest.

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!. At the PRU we have a Management Committee which functions like a Governing Body. In order to evaluate the impact of the PRU and extend stakeholder voice we need to establish a KS3 subcommittee!

Dear parents,. The coming Monday (15th April) is an INSET day for our KS4 site (Bryn y Deryn and the Carnegie Centre). The school will be be open as normal from Tuesday 16th April. Our KS3 site (Nyth y Deryn) will be open as normal all week.
