On Saturday, Joe Y9, represented Kent at the English School Cross Country Championships in Nottingham – and WON! This race contained the very best Junior Boys athletes in the whole country! What a fantastic achievement! 🥇🏆 He will now go on the represent England 🏴 Well done!
… and Year 8 are off! We are all on the coaches and making our way out of the school gates. Miss Best will be your reporter while we’re away, so make sure you stay updated! 🏹🧗⚽️🏉🏀
It’s been a busy first day at Carroty Wood! Archery 🏹, low-ropes 🪢, high-ropes, bmxing 🚲and lots of sports. Some students also had an eye-opening experience of washing up without scraping the plates first 🧽! Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.
A bit of a late update from me, the signal is very weak and patchy - which is a positive thing as it means being in the moment! My group did Jacob’s Ladder and Archery Tag today, and after dinner the whole group had a silent disco!! But the music wasn’t old enough for my taste!
Exam season begins and we wish all of our Year 11's the best of luck in their GCSE's! They are making history as the first cohort of BWSfB students to take their exams⭐️
What a fantastic start our Year 7s have made to their secondary school journey today. We look forward to their continued success at Bullers Wood School for Boys 📚👨🏫⭐️
Good morning from Miss Best! Mine and Miss Fogg’s groups are starting with low ropes today! It’s a cloudy morning, so I’m sure the muddy swamp will be nice and cold!
Our full day at Carroty Wood was full of fun: high ropes, low ropes, rock climbing, and abseiling. Happy to report that washing up is going better (no one wants to be elbow-deep in a clogged sink!) and four groups are looking forward to swimming this evening!
Sorry everyone - signal is really poor here and minimal wifi! After a hearty breakfast and some rainy activities the sun came out for the giant swing! We’ve just started the rifle shooting and a student hit the bullseye on his first go!
Mrs Krige got into the Halloween spirit this afternoon, bringing smiles to students and staff alike in the corridors of BWSfB - Trick or Treat? 💯 treat, thank you Mrs Krige! Happy Halloween everyone🎃
Still Miss Best here! A slightly soggier morning today, but the students did a great job of tidying and cleaning their lodges before some sports time - Mr Bidder showed off his rugby skills! My group is doing Archery, and they listened very attentively to Will’s demo 🏹
This morning the school community joined together for our first main assembly. Usually this would involve welcoming the new Year 7's and introducing our termly theme. Today, however, we paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for a life well lived in service to our nation
The students observed the two minute silence today to commemorate
#ArmisticeDay
The Last Post echoed through the school, played beautifully on the trumpet by two of our students 🎺
Our lovely instructor has just told us that this student is the first person in her experience to hit the bullseye straight in the centre! He’s very proud of himself… and he should be!
A misty but drier morning today! My team are off abseiling, and we are nice and full from our brilliant breakfast! Instructor Abi has made the rules clear and simple, and our first group members are going to face the drop!
It was so wonderful to see so many students positively participate in our very first Culture and Causes Day! It was an amazing celebration of the diversity we have in our school community. We are looking forward to how it will grow in 2023! 💚🏳️🌈
It was fantastic to meet so many of you at yesterday’s Big Bullers’ Lunch. Thanks to the parents’ support group for organising it. This could be the start of a BWSfB tradition!
Our school community is saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today. We are grateful for her selfless dedication to our nation and our thoughts are with her family and those close to her that feel her loss at this time
As part of our Enrichment Day programme the Year 9s enjoyed an incredibly moving, true-to-life production of the Daniel Spargo-Mabbs story. Afterwards the students were enlightened to the dangers of unregulated drug use during an informative workshop

Massive well done to Cruwys who were overall winners and won the shield for their house 💙🥇
Thank you to all staff, parents and our wonderful students for making sports day such a great occasion! Overall winners were the blues from Cruwys! However, everyone was brilliant in earning points for their House. I apologise the tannoy system was not working for the parents.

Today's whole school assembly kickstarted the spring term's theme of Integrity. The importance of showing integrity in everyday situations was emphasised
