In 1923, before there were any photos of Hitler publicly available, Simplicissimus ran an issue featuring 12 caricatures of the man titled “What does Hitler look like?” Some of these are lazily mocking him, one is just a drawing of Mussolini, but peep the 1st one on the top left.
