(it was the first one i sent but with slight changes in colours) . but it looked quite cool tho . she sha paid me my remaining balance and i left the gc to move on with my life . at that point, the money didnt even look like it was worth it tbvh but it is what it is.

the PM noticed that i wasn’t exactly happy and she goes “you can use this to boost your portfolio, atleast you have real world experience now” . e mean say make you kill me?😭. but anyways, on monday morning, i told them to check now and then the dev goes “yeah i like this a lot”.

i got home and started working on it for almost another 4 hours and sent the link back to the gc. and then the dev goes “let’s try something new” at that point, i honestly just wanted to go back to the church to collect my offering . she sent another moodboard and i started again.

i opened them and i basically saw a bunch of corrections they made, most of which were fair so i said i was going to work on it when i got home from church…. in church i paid a rich amount for my offering and paid the appropriate amount for tithe and prayed mehn, God please😂.

went to sleep thinking i had done an amazing job and i was on my way to greatness . woke up around 6 to prepare for church and i actually didn’t check my phone until i’d gotten to church . i checked my phone and i saw a bunch of messages (about 12), i started sweating😂.

we agreed on a price and she paid 30% upfront ( I don go price Xr 😂) . i went online, looked for some inspos and came back, worked on it for almost the entire saturday, ate only once throughout the day and finally sent the Figma link to the PM and dev around 2am on sunday.

i basically just told her that she was the first actual client i was going to have and i was excited to be part of the whole project . she introduced me to the PM on a call and she also seemed quite cool . the dev sent the moodboard and basically all the necessary details….

She said she already had a PM but she needed someone to work on the website and the overall UI for the project . I said I was up to the task ( I’d previously watched a considerable amount of youtube videos and designed a few frames myself ) . she asked for my portfolio….

met this dev on linkedin around october last year, we talked and got quite close. she basically told me she was trying to transition her web2 business into something web3 like and of course, i didn’t see a problem with that.
