not all art is required to be "realistic"--some art is mostly conceptual, cerebral. Magritte's work, for instance, is almost as fairly represented in large photo books as on the wall; but Hopper, absolutely not. no photo has ever done justice to a Hopper painting.
@JoyceCarolOates Yes I think it may be a combination of both - he’s a master of mood - his paintings are quite eerie & always seem to evoke a sense of menace - large windows & doors leading into the unknown are common images

This is exciting.
I've officially been drawn out of my congressional district by a small group of politicians. It’s blatant corruption, but I’ve got news for them: I’m running for Attorney General, and I’m going to use that job to fight political corruption. Join us: https://t.co/tb9ykB1pUH

I've always suspected that an advanced alien civilisation with the technology to travel at close to light speed across interstellar distances would arrive in Earth orbit unobserved and proceed to dispatch a fleet of small, easily detectable balloons into our atmosphere.

Ma never was much for #gardening. But Momma was. She didn’t grow #basil or #Calabrians. But she grew pretty much everything else. She was a master. Momma and Billy Joe. They were what done it. #farmlife

Saw this beauty on the Christmas tree lot this morning. Been walking around, talking like Larry the Cable Guy, ever since.

On November 12, 1833, there was a meteor shower so intense that it was possible to see up to 100,000 meteors crossing the sky every hour. At the time, many thought it was the end of the world, so much so that it inspired this woodcut by Adolf Vollmy.
