INTJ, Atheist, and a Grandfather too. Facts Excite Me! Was putting the "gen" in future Generals and doing a bad job of it, till they retired me! Love tanks!
The President of India, once elected, must be referred to as only the President of the Nation. This constant linkage to caste, creed and race denigrates the office of India’s first citizen.
Indigo playing fast and loose with seat allocation under VIP pressure. They bumped me off my paid seat because some former bureaucrat and “party” couldn’t be anywhere except row 1.
@IndiGo6E
you will be hearing from me. Flight is 6E2091.
Though this is already viral, it made my day. A salute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian soldier. This alone is a Force Multiplier that very few can match or overcome.
It is a sad day when you realise that you’ve sent troops into harm’s way with not even the ability to open fire in self defence. Even UN peacekeeping Chapter VI rules of engagement permit troops to open fire to protect themselves.
Monsoon and the Railways. Just learnt of this artist who used to be a Chief Ticket Inspector with IR before switching to his passion. He is Bijay Biswaal.
Sometimes, you have to initiate a fight with bullies just to let them know you have an irrational side. The fear of being hurt has to be overcome. It is no different with nations.
The CDS’ name shall ever be remembered in places far and wide for his professionalism and occupation of high position in India’s military. RIP Sir and Ma’am🙏
A nationalist on Twitter offered to join the the farmer protesters if they shifted the protest venue to the LAC or LoC. You know what, they don’t need to because their sons, brothers and husbands are already there, protecting the nation’s sovereignty and territory. Jai Hind🇮🇳

60 years ago. My homage to my parents who saw through tough times and raised their children with love, affection and the best they could offer.

| On Maldives MP's post on PM Modi's visit to Lakshadweep, Foreign Affairs Expert Abhijit Iyer-Mitra says "This all started off because the Indian Twitter commentariat started comparing PMs visit to Lakshadweep as some kind of a counter to Maldives, which it was not. The…
Spent 36 years in the IA, never once did I hear the Sikh Light Infantry being referred to as “Dalit Sikh Regiment”. So why now? Your tweet is insensitive to the men and officers who have served and continue to serve with pride in this Regt, including the current COAS. Do delete!
The day armed forces’ heads start giving clever explanations for events, is the day they lost focus on what their main purpose, protecting a nation’s interests, is supposed to be.
Sir, a minor correction(unless you are joking), that’s the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II in Rome and the aircraft are from Frecce Tricolori, (313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico, Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale Frecce Tricolori) displaying the colours of the Italian Flag😊
Any military which feels that grooming and preparing youth for the corporate world or other government jobs is part of its mandate, has taken its eye off the ball so to speak, which is solely to select and train youth for the hard task of operational deployments.
Just hearing a Taliban spokesperson mention on TV about a “peaceful” transfer of power in Kabul. How is power that’s been snatched on the point of a gun barrel “peaceful”? And the international community will buy this. Shame on all of them.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
He who neither drinks, nor smokes, nor dances, he who preaches & even occasionally practice piety, temperance and celibacy, is generally a saint, or a mahatma or more likely a humbug but he certainly won't make a leader or for that matter a good soldier

Still trying to get to grips with the thought as to “how in the 21st Century did our bravehearts die such a medieval death?” It anguishes me no end as a military professional and should make all of us (serving and retired) introspect, for their blood is on our collective hands😞
Now imagine a company of riflemen armed with the Lee Enfield Mk 1 holding off an attack across the trenches in Verdun or the ANZACs holding the line in Gallipoli. Even though a bolt action it had an awesome rate of fire.
The General who has worked hands on for Tour of Duty should not try and give extra spin on the benefits, but focus on how the military effectiveness increases with this form of recruitment. In uniform one should be a straight talker, not a spin doctor.
Folks do bear in mind the grief and tragic circumstances of the families of our bravehearts. How would they feel seeing their loved ones’ photos circulating on SM, while they are yet to come to terms with the unfathomable loss in their lives. Let the Army release names and photos
If you think lynchings are okay, you need your head examined. Read Article 21 of the Constitution.
“No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to a procedure established by law.”
Protesting farmers eating pizzas and getting foot massages is causing a lot of heartburn among the righteous and wise. So be it. Too much democracy can be a good thing too.
Probably the only army in the world with a modern MBT at this altitude on a permanent basis. Could we look at kitting our tank crews with insulated winter overalls, work gloves and anti UV glare 🥽! Not to mention speed lace 🥾
Received this today. A scroll acknowledging the sacrifice by a grand uncle (my maternal Grandfather’s brother) over a 100 years ago during WW1. He was part of 47th Sikhs, which later became 5 Sikh. Grandfather retired from the Sikhs in 1932 as a Subedar Major.
For most PLA conscripts who were part of the Pangong N & S face off this is the last time they’ll be deployed at such heights. They’ll go home and re-live the adventures of their 6-7 months with other folks. For Indian Army troops it’s; okay next which station/location😎aandeyo!
Those who’ve not worn uniform but are nationalist in outlook, don’t conjure up scenarios that are non existent in the real military. Stick to your primary domain & let the ethos, moral fabric & functioning of a truly pan Indian military be as it exists, for the sake of the nation
A tribute to my late father on his birth anniversary. Honesty, fair play, helping others and a gentle heart that meant well to one and all…that’s the legacy he left behind 11 years ago🙏
A pity
@adgpi
that you have to use your trolls to try cancel out the voice of a veteran
@YashMor5
who’s been actively involved in motivating and mentoring youth to join the armed forces. Just because he’s raised pertinent points about

doesn’t mean he’s anti-national.
Three Accidents In Atal Rohtang Tunnel In 72 Hours Since Inauguration. “Tourists from Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana are racing in the tunnel...stopping inside to take selfies, against guidelines of not stopping anywhere in the tunnel”
I’ve been advised by some that my carefree self on Twitter is not in keeping with the gravitas expected of veteran officers of a certain rank. But now that I have connected with my inner self here, it’s too late suckers🤣
No one can claim that there’s politicisation of the armed forces with this poster, as the aerial acrobatics team in it is the Italian Air Force’s Frecce Tricolori🤣🤣🤣
A picture is worth thousand words. There are a thousand things you can infer from this picture. If you follow India’s politics regularly, this will give you a good sense of where India is headed.
Why are the Armed Forces being used as the official cheer leaders to express gratitude to the tireless

health care workers, doctors, support staff and nameless others on 03 May. This was not the military I served in. Just saddened and disappointed that this will happen😐
Just a thought; the window for serious reform of India’s defence forces is open now as they face scrutiny over the Chinese standoffs. Use this opportunity to drive home the required changes and the leadership would be remembered for times to come.
A king once attempted to visit a part of his kingdom that was perpetually revolting against his edicts. It flopped due to poor understanding of the situation by his vanguard. The king got annoyed and jailed his minister for security. Grimms’ fairy tale runs out of steam😂
