I was a US Army Officer and I used to be in 1CAV. This chickenhawk shit is not what I fought for. We are Americans and we are supposed to be an example to the world of how things can be better. And that responsibility is on our leaders everywhere regardless of party.

Vulnerability Management is an industry failure. "Just patch it" is trite advice. It's a Sisyphean task with a boulder of 10000 perpetual items to do on a list on fire burning our hands. We need to do better.

No, Jeff, this view is how Security gets a seat at the kiddie table. The focus of an Org is it's primary purpose, IT enables that, then Security is there to identify risks and assure based on what the Org accepts. In your model, we should just turn off the computer to begin with.
