IMO, the Hunter decision is because Hunter is viewed as a 10 and couldn’t go to the U17 World Cup, and they obviously want her in the system. It’s Pridham vs all other FWDs in the pool that confuse me.
@brylaura11 @MeaghenJohnson CS did tag on the fact that Hunter was also included because she also sees her as a #10 — perhaps she sees Pridham as an out-and-out #9?

To add colour—Viens has two goals (one UWCL, one in Italy Women’s Cup). She played 27 minutes in that Cup match when she scored, so she is basically averaging one goal every two games, and that’s coming back from injury. #CanWNT/#CanXNT
Girl, who are these Canadians scoring in top 5 leagues?! Leon hasn't scored since June. Huitema had a good couple of games in August, but has been average since. Sonis our most in-form NWSL forward by far. Our forwards have scored fewer goals combined than DB has in the NSL.

Also, worth noting that Lacasse was initially named to this roster, so one of the forwards was her replacement. It's possible that Prince wasn't originally called up, and Stoney named her after Utah said no.

This is what I wonder. Stoney said she had players consistently scoring in top five leagues, which is fair enough critique to exclude Pridham. I don’t get how that applies to Pridham but not Ward, when they’re in the same league and Pridham is more consistent.

#CanWNT’s Casey Stoney just revealed that Kadeisha Buchanan had a set back in her recovery from her torn ACL injury. Buchanan isn’t expected back anytime soon. Question was from @brylaura11

@WsoccerCa pridham/lacasse for alidou/prince seems so obvious... don't know why stoney bothers to talk about the importance of game time at club level if she won't stick to it

CS said at the end of that sickening USA loss “play or you’ll get cut”. So how does Prince make it over Lacasse? Alidou over Chang?

Big mood.
@WsoccerCa I would have rather given Lacasse/Larisey/Pridham an opportunity over Prince who has barely featured for KC this season (only 638 minutes played/1 assist). And disappointed not to see any NCAA players, but understand that the timing with their seasons don't align right now.
