(1/2) Day 176!!! We are overjoyed that Danny has been released and is on his way home – we cannot wait to hold him in our arms. We are tremendously grateful to all the people who have helped secure his release, especially @GovRichardson. #BringDannyHome

Thank you to everyone who has kept my brother Danny in their thoughts. We are unspeakably devastated by yesterday's events, but we will not give up or rest in our efforts to #BringDannyHome no matter what it takes. We deeply appreciate your support. https://t.co/krVHoQhNHo

The especially punitive treatment of Fenster, who was arrested while trying to board a flight out of Myanmar, has alarmed the U.S. government and press advocates

If Danny can do it, we can do it. Today, we're going to do what we always do after a hearing. We'll get pissed off, we'll realign, and we'll come out stronger and do the work necessary until we get to the next hearing on October 27th. We will not stop until we #BringDannyHome.

Tempering expectations has been one of the ultimate tests throughout this experience. Our mission - like Danny's - is to survive. To survive the daily blows of living life in this new "normal," and to survive the psychological stress of each passing hearing date. (2/3)

Day 145. Nearly 5 months. With every hearing, it's painfully difficult not to get excited about the possibility of movement that might bring us closer to Danny's release. (1/3) https://t.co/cjWm8DGMvl

And to see the worry momentarily wash away from my parents' faces was the medicine I needed. Of course, we're nowhere close to celebrating, but we'll take the glimmers of hope and levity where we can get them. (5/6)

It wouldn't be a good phone call with Danny without some laughs, which we had plenty of. It's quite the life lesson to hear my brother maintain a sense of humor in the face of all the adversity. (4/6)

We continue to remain cautiously optimistic that the in-person hearings will proceed, and that this process will play out so that we can finally bring him home. On a bright note, we were able to speak to Danny on the phone again this past Thursday. (3/6)

Of course, the additional charge of 17(1) of the Unlawful Associations Act is concerning, though it is in substance closely related to the Section 505A charges and primarily reflects an expansion of the measures available to the Burmese authorities. (2/6)

Day 134. We woke this morning to yet another court hearing that came and went. We always have hope, but we had a bit more for this hearing since it was Danny's first in-person appearance in over two months. (1/6) https://t.co/JCDBK7ySuL

For us, it’s a further tightening of the vise as another virtual hearing has come and gone and he was once again remanded. September 20th is the next hearing. In Danny’s absence, we have a deep void. But our hearts are full knowing our family is together in spirit, (3/4)

This dance between the sweetness of togetherness and the suffering of separation is something my family knows all too well this year, but it is not unlike what so many of us are facing in one form or another around the world. (2/4)
