He is now an adult, has a greater sense of responsibility, and wishes to use your services genuinely.

He is being disproportionately punished for a juvenile misdemeanour (opening an account, nothing more), which it might be argued he shouldn't have been physically able to do in the first place.

When he contacted customer services to straighten things out, he was told he was now permanently banned from using eBay's services. This seems unduly harsh.

He has deleted this old account and has set up a new one with correct information. It is this new account which was restricted.

It turns out that a couple of years ago, when he was too young to hold an account, he had opened an account giving a false date of birth. He never bought or sold anything with this account.
