According to Neneh Cham, a legal practitioner, women constitute 51% of the population globally, so really there is something wrong when in key decision making positions, or anywhere for that matter; you find that the number of women is very low.

Abdou Touray, Programs specialist @UNDP_TheGambia, in his speech said, Gender equality lies at the heart of any development programming, and the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women is central to the mandate of UNDP and intrinsic to its development approach.

@LetteFatou from @bridginggapsadv described the workshop as successful. There was open dialogue between officials from government sectors and parastatal institutions, and the active steps and affirmative actions they’re taking in addressing gender inequality and unconscious bias.
