U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Derri Sykes was declared missing in action on January 9, 1968 in Quang Tin Province, South Vietnam. Derri was 20 years old and from Chicago, Illinois. A Company, 21st Infantry, 196th Infantry Brigade. Sadly, Derri’s remains were never recovered. Hero.🇺🇸
