So bad faith actors have about 12 hours to scrape for personal emails and cause even more disruption?

Pleasantly surprised to hear how much of a factor the @digits efficient/respectful hiring process was in candidate decisions to join.

I can't believe that Google Slides still has a bright yellow "Share" button that means "invite more people" and not "present this slideshow" - the number of folks I see click that when trying to present their slide show via zoom is so high.

Here’s what the @fuboTV interface looks like at the same distance, just to demonstrate that it’s specific to the feed

We showed @digits to a customer and their response was *literal* tears of joy. I am so proud of our team and it’s clear we are striking a nerve. Here’s a screenshot of our team chat today. //cc @jeffseibert

I'm curious if maybe there's something else going on here? The "I make a schema change and generate some code" process has felt strong +EV to me, both short term and long term.

I'm genuinely surprised by the anti-GRPC sentiment I've seen crop up recently. In my experience, for internal use, it's far easier to have a schema with generated types & service interfaces than to manually try and understand who's affected by some REST field change.
I'm fairly down on gRPC and think it's often used when it's not necessary. It adds an extra level of complexity to projects, especially with process. I rather keep things simple until I can't. https://t.co/2wgXmaolLV

I’m fully against “fun” names for internal things. They only serve to waste time and inhibit understanding, especially for new folks. Just use boring, simple names, like “identity-service” or whatever. Nobody wants to have to remember what Zuul service does.

Pandemic day 689. We are pretending that we are a city crosswalk while washing dishes. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Eh-uhr. Eh-urh. The walk sign is on the crosswalk.

Wow, that commercial for Slack HQ was embarrassingly bad… you could tell the same story by showing it, instead of posing as a theoretical… much more impactful.
