Can anyone build an AI Agent from scratch?. I’ve been following @thorstenball for a while now and recently discovered his YouTube series with @Sourcegraph, where he’s working on an AI Agent called @AmpCode. Thorsten did something unique: he shared a video of himself pair

Confirmed Jony Ive will shortly be joining @AnthropicAI to build ClaudePuter now.
Anthropic has kindly asked that I change the name, which imo is a reasonable ask. They were extremely chill about it, and I appreciate the work they do to make it possible to build fun experiments like this. Claudeputer is now Codeputer.

it's so hard to tell which sota models are actually best for general purpose / coding bc the benchmarks feel as useful as a SAT score. Seems like using your preferred model is a vote for its continued success. I like the mission and engineering teams at @xai and @AnthropicAI,.

I was rereading @paulg “Putting Ideas Into Words” where he says:. “A great deal of knowledge is unconscious, and experts have if anything a higher proportion of unconscious knowledge than beginners.”. I think this is directly relevant today for engineers learning to utilize ai.

RT @simonw: Quitting programming as a career right now because of LLMs would be like quitting carpentry as a career thanks to the invention….

Downloaded omarchy last night and gave it a test run. I was looking in the manual and I didn't see instructions on how to lock the screen (it's SUPER+Esc btw), so I asked ChatGPT for help and made my own lock screen with the background image dynamically! @dhh made it super easy

I thought @beyang gave some great insight here: “you’re the developer experience engineer for your agent”. It made me realize that the first adopters of ai coding agents are the engineers that really love diving into improving developer tooling and workflows. When working with.

Stoked to see @typecraft_dev got dhh on the channel! Great interview and exciting to see such a big Linux push. Worth a watch.

I see @dhh is using his influence to get devs from Mac to Linux and I’m here for it.
I had lunch with @dhh yesterday and he made very compelling arguments for Samsung phones and Beelink PCs. I did my best to Nix pill him lol. In any case I think we’re both excited to make Ghostty work really great with Omarchy and identified some key improvements to do that 🥰.
