So, apparently, the full 60 Minutes report that was pulled at the last minute was uploaded to a Canadian streaming service, GlobalTV. It was available for a short time before it vanished. Several users recorded their screens & are sharing it across the web.

Inside CECOT (the 60 Minutes segment that was spiked yesterday) is available on Global TV app. It must have been delivered before the story was blocked. Watching it now.

Yes, this is real. Yes, it's astonishing. Global TV, which airs 60 Minutes in Canada, uploaded the original version of Sunday's episode, including the Sharyn Alfonsi segment that Bari Weiss shelved. And now people all across the internet are watching the segment.

Pretty sure most of the people tweeting about it don’t care, but the supposed election fraud story in Georgia isn’t actually true and is a pretty brazen misrepresentation of the facts.

Investigative reporting amplifies smaller voices and uses documents/video to elevate those who cannot speak, putting them on equal footing with the government — which already has a megaphone. It’s not about taking a side. It’s about shining light in dark places.

This Bari Weiss comment — "holding stories that aren't ready... happens every day in every newsroom" — is both technically true and terrifically insulting to the CBS News vets who said the story WAS ready. The piece was even being promoted by PR. That doesn't happen by accident.

Important note about investigative reporting: we always want govt officials on-camera. There's nothing better than an accountability interview. More and more, officials try to spike a story by refusing to participate. We never let their lack of participation stop us from airing

Inside @60Minutes, where journalistic independence is sacrosanct, "people are threatening to quit over this," I'm told.

“When it fails to air without a credible explanation, the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship. We are trading 50 years of ‘gold standard’ reputation for a single week of political quiet.” https://t.co/vmUspmtfkW

“If the standard for airing a story becomes ‘the government must agree to be interviewed,’ then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state." - Sharyn Alfonsi.

Officer let him off with a warning. I scrambled the plate. Wasn’t the driver’s fault — the app told him to turn left at a no left turn intersection.

Some firefighters are younger than their fire trucks. A national shortage has led to serious safety concerns. My investigation for @InvestigateTV

A national shortage of fire trucks has left departments with aging fleets and deadly delays, while manufacturers profit from massive backlogs.
