Yall need to stop comparing music of opposing genres from artists with completely different fanbases & goals. Stop comparing fire to water. Both albums received a mix of praise and hate either way. This isn't critical music analysis, it's failed pretentiousness.
It’s honestly been so sick to watch a band like Geese release a genuinely beautiful albeit challenging album to widespread acclaim while the most lauded songwriter of this era gets panned for releasing the most frictionless music imaginable. You absolutely love to see it.
