As a member of the State Board of Education, I have been consistently appalled at the opposition to school choice and charter schools that has been apparent since my first meeting in January. Families need to be able to choose an education that best meets their child's needs,.

What an honor to be North Carolina's State Treasurer. Thank you particularly to my wife and children for all the support. Can't wait to get to work.

I'm very happy to announce Tom and Amy have agreed to join our team in January - there is a great deal to do in the Treasurer's office and they are the right people to lead important divisions within the Department!.#ncpol

I’m excited Eric and Kevin have agreed to serve in the Treasurer’s office. The team we’re building is going to do great work for our state employees and taxpayers. #ncpol

I just spoke to Rep. Harris, who graciously conceded the race for State Treasurer. I’m honored the voters trust me to solve the problems facing our state’s pension and finances. I’ll do right by our taxpayers, teachers, state employees and retirees. I can’t wait to get to work.

Our teachers, state employees, retirees and taxpayers can’t afford a State Treasurer who needs on-the-job training. They deserve a professional who’s ready on Day 1. #ncpol

Yet another real world example of why Republican economic policies are vastly superior.

I agree with our United States Senators, if Mark Robinson cannot put these allegations to rest in the coming days, he should step aside for a candidate that can turn the focus of the campaign back to issues like inflation, healthcare costs and taxes that voters tell me they are.

The Trump Administration's MFN drug pricing model was vastly superior, but the Biden administration decided to play politics with predictably bad results.
