It’s not that AI is going to take people’s jobs. It’s that AI will be an easy target when the people who can’t find jobs need something to revolt against. And then we will enter the Terminator era 😳

Don’t @ me but the glorification of 996 and working late and weekends is total loser behavior. Grinding is important but come on people. Go touch grass. Meet people irl. Live a little!!

Just had a brutal offer decline. Candidate backed out after long negotiation and verbal accept, right before signing, because they thought they were getting RSUs instead of options. It’s a Series A startup, so I figured it was obvious it was options. Lesson learned - never

Parents teach your kids to participate in fundraising campaigns in person or at minimum via phone. Do not teach them to do this via texts or emails. They’ll learn the important life skills of hustle, courage, resilience and much much more.

Here’s every single product OpenAI is working on. It makes a lot of sense. Reminds me of early Facebook / Google. When you have distribution (~1B users), just build everything and see what sticks. And who better to run that playbook than the ex-boss of Y Combinator!

Sorry to all the FAIR folks impacted by Meta layoffs. The blessing in disguise is publicly seeing all the incredible companies who are excited about hiring this top tier AI talent. And just from looking at a few of the startups, the extent of incredible teams building incredible

We just celebrated 2 years at 1st10! I’m so grateful for our team, clients, and the incredible talent, investors and friends we've gotten to work with. When I started 1st10, the goal was simple. Work with early stage founders to build the next generation of companies. Get

Success in anything is about depth not breadth. Go deeper on fewer things. Become better at them than others and stay with them for longer. Only then add pieces to gain breadth.

Client was on the fence about a candidate. Candidate found a mutual connection and suggested them as a reference. Client took them up on it. Solid!! Always a nice way to bridge the gap.

I spoke with college senior graduating next May who is interested in working for a startup. He's not technical. I gave him the following advice: *Most likely place of value is in sales, growth, hiring, operations. Figure out what you know how to do in these areas that could add
