Anísio Cabral gives me big Nicolas Jackson vibes. Similarly built, great hold-up play and likes to drift out wide. I suspect that he (like Nico), played as a winger at some point when he was younger. What gives him the edge, is his ball-striking and finishing aren’t a problem.

As I said in the summer, getting him to resign while Chelsea and many other teams were interested, is great business.

There’s nothing stopping Tottenham from demanding 100+ million in 2/3 years and Xavi has now pretty much shut the door on any future Premier League moves. This ain’t the Bundesliga, you can’t go from Spurs to City like you can go from Leipzig to Bayern.

Simons going from Leipzig to Spurs feels like a sideways step. Had interest from Bayern and Chelsea but jumped at the chance to join Tottenham? If he performs well, as I expect he will and Spurs continue to be Spurs, it’ll be very tough for him to move in the future.

In all seriousness, though, really exciting young player.
