Dumb devs use useEffect, useState, and fetch()... Smart devs use TanStack Query, Zustand, and Axios. Be smart 👍

Note: The live frontend won’t handle authentication for now since the backend is still running on localhost. Once hosting is complete, all Auth features will be fully functional. @DorcasAkins0 @OgPerrykay @impeculiar1b @The0_ph1lus @PhenomenalAwe55 @Ckkyss19 @HereisMoses

Finally wrapped up the authentication system for CareMate. It took longer than expected due to inconsistent power.🙇 The video shows the Auth process in action. Also Frontend link below. Backend will be added once hosting is done. https://t.co/elIqKgFhJv

Dipped back into React & Tailwind after a long hiatus! Created this colorful, Encanto-inspired "Casa" landing page to refresh my skills. Feeling great about being back! https://t.co/w5TjG0FuNb

These are the stacks that fuel most of my projects so far, and they’ve been solid every step of the way. More updates and code drops coming soon 🚀Stick around, it’s about to get fun.

Auth: Custom User Model + Simple Jwt For auth, I’m running a Custom User Model + Simple JWT. Flexibility on the user side, token-based security on the backend. Clean, secure, and scalable.

Animations : Framer Motion. Framer Motion makes animations precise and easy to control. If you’re not using it, you’re missing out. Smooth transitions, subtle effects, and site that doesn’t feel like it’s glitching out.

Frontend : React & Tailwind. React makes building reusable components a piece of cake, and the site stays smooth without constant reloads.😌 Tailwind keeps things mobile-first, flexible, and clean, no bloated CSS files or endless IDs needed. My CSS stress level dropped by 90%

Backend : Django REST Framework. Went with Django REST Framework because Python was my first coding language. It’s clean, beginner-friendly, and reliable. Security is tight, APIs are smooth, and if it’s good enough for sites like Instagram, I’m not complaining 😂

That’s the current state of BZ_CareMate 💊 I’ll keep sharing progress as new features roll out. If you’ve built something similar or have design tips, drop them below 🙏 I’ll also be uploading the Python DRF code soon.

The dashboard right now = pure design struggles 😩 Coding is one thing, but making it look good is a whole different battle 😂 I’ll share screenshots once it starts looking less like a dev test page and more like an actual dashboard 🤞

Appointments 📅 The logic is still being worked on, so nothing flashy to show yet. Life of a full-stack dev… juggling frontend, backend, and design simultaneously 🤧😪

Medications 💊 User or caregiver logs them, but the user checks a button when a drug is taken. If time passes and it’s not checked, CareMate flags it as missed. The no. of missed or taken meds feeds a pie chart showing how well meds are followed. Will also appear on Dashboard 😂

Vitals 🩺 After each check, the user or caregiver uploads the data. It’s fully editable (CRUD life). Each input updates a chart for visualizing trends. After all, visual aids hit harder than raw data. This will be on the dashboard… once I find some design inspiration 😅😂
