I have a lot of respect for Twistzz for what he has accomplished but I think he's out of touch with how bad t2 has gotten. As a reminder, he hasnt played t2 in 5 years
Back then, NA EPL had 14 teams and the top MDL team got promoted while 2/3 played relegation. A lot has changed

Aren't the lower tiers of NA CS bad because so many players left? It's basically impossible now to put together an NA team that can compete with Europeans, even as underdogs, and there's no money for orgs to invest in teams that won't reach larger stages.

It didn't help that players left but the opportunities had already evaporated when the bulk of them took off.

As much as I hate valorant I think them swapping to valorant was the only logical thing to do for their careers, unless the NA cs scene explodes out of nowhere I don't see them switching back any time soon
