a netflix show with a brown woman and a gay man as leads is the most watched series in the world right now and I think that’s beautiful

this is actually so accurate for everyone in our generation. we miss the shows and movies we grew up with not because they were the best but because we miss that part of ourselves which we’ve lost with time amidst growing up.
farah khan’s genre of films used to be so unapologetically funny and entertaining something which is missing in current bollywood. she really needs to make a comeback to direction.
kabira is beautifully melancholic. it perfectly summarises bunny’s longing for home and past relationships which he had to leave behind in pursuit of his dreams.
I love that

gave us an epilogue, films don’t do that anymore, even romcoms. my favourite part about stories is knowing what actually happens after the “ending” and jaadui ties up the whole film with a beautiful ribbon.
i loVE when a bollywood song has one small bit in it that is the tune of another song of the same movie it just brings such cohesion, its such a good callback, just goes soooo hard for what
2014 was truly THE year of romcoms for bollywood. all of these films still hold strong rewatch value, the music albums are timeless and the chemistry between the leads served everything one could ask for.

she won’t ever forget him and maybe that is the only forever the two of them together were ever meant to have ❤︎

ayan mukerji knew exactly what he was doing when he kept the camera focused only on ranbir kapoor’s eyes in this scene from yjhd. the wonder, the nostalgia, the melancholy, the love, those eyes are enough to express every single emotion that bunny is feeling in this moment.
How good does it feel to see such relationships still exist in a world we are living in now.

Deserve a world of love, because all they give out is love🙈❤
there was a time when every person in bollywood used to attend the filmfares and it was a night of true celebration and I see now that more than half of the guest list is the bigg boss contestants and the youtube/tiktok “stars”…why did the times change :(
