3/ Thing #2: "Aggressive" driving = efficient island style People just get in when merging. No waiting for huge gaps. Looks chaotic but everyone knows the rules. You rarely see accidents.

2/ Thing #1: It's still the US! Same road systems, same traffic laws. PR is a commonwealth - Highway 22, PR-52, all familiar. Some Spanish signs but super intuitive.
