I was tongue in cheek with my post yesterday But seriously, I’m worried about the profound effect this change will have, particularly for @BrighamMedRes . Onc was such a huge part of my training. Including my first intern rotation on Onc nightfloat (with @MattRamsisMD ).

@bnrome @BrighamMedRes @MattRamsisMD Yes, onc twilight/NF was where I learned most of my acute floor medicine intern year…huge loss.

@bnrome @BrighamMedRes @MattRamsisMD Old school onc NF was the rotation that made me feel comfortable with managing sick patients outside the ICU.

@bnrome @BrighamMedRes @MattRamsisMD I think we’ll switch to MGH (now MGB?) cancer center pts with an in-house onc team?

@bnrome @BrighamMedRes @MattRamsisMD I wonder if this could be a reason for collaboration between the BIDMC medicine residency and its neighbor
