I'm being told by friends and fans to post this... I'm really bad at asking for help, but I'm in a bad way. I don't feel safe in this house anymore either.
A lifelong friend of mine passed away. I'll be taking some time off, though I don't think my upload schedule will be affected too much because of how far ahead I've been working. Thank you for your patience and understanding while I take some time away.
How would YOU like to sing on an upcoming Death Battle track? Consider this an open call to anyone with a good mic and confidence singing to help me build a Death Battle fan choir! Link to a Google form + more details subtweeted.
Considering opening up commissions again to help bolster my funds since things are so uncertain right now. What do you all think? Would that be okay? My queue is pretty long, but I'm known to get around to everything eventually haha
Finally recovering from a nasty case of covid. Thanks for your patience, everyone, I got a lot of work done today and plan to get back to pumping out tracks full speed asap.
Any money I get, I promise, will just be going towards cleaning up the mess from my house being ransacked, and helping me pay for a new place to live. I don't feel safe here anymore.
Next week is "Goku Week" - all of the Goku related commissions packed together in a marathon, until this coming Friday, where we have THIS as the finale for "What If?" volume 4!
Still haven't thoroughly looked inside but it's a disaster area... would it be rude to ask for help with cleanup costs? I'm probably in shock, I feel numb
I seriously think the next Death Battle track of mine to release is the best one I've ever made. Especially the production quality, I'm really happy with how it came together.
Bummed you didn't get a commission in? My friend
@rhynoholter
covered the cost for one 3:30 length instrumental to raffle away! Like and Retweet this tweet to enter, must be following my account so I can DM you if you win!
With the track that dropped today, I'm calling 2021 a wrap. Over 170 songs released in one year, if you can believe it. I'm gonna take a much needed vacation and see you all in January!
10 years ago today, the very first
#DeathBattle
debuted! With over 130 episodes and so much more to come, what's been your favorite match ups and memories from across the decade?
@mustangg221
@Kephrii
@AimbottZ
it's clear he's BMing here with sarcasm and taunting. Also brought proof he whispered important game info to enemy widow - ironically here he's the one cheating for the enemy team.
seeing how poorly my non-vs music performs when I post it really wipes out all the motivation I have to work on the vs music. If you aren't in this with me, why should I be in this with you, you know?
Check out the album cover for the battle track - 'FINAL BREATH' by

Check out this track art reveal made by
@hyperstarman
! Reach out to him here if you want one of these for your own commission! It'll also be used in the YouTube upload, so everyone will get to see it alongside the final track! (Oh, and check out this track coming out on Saturday!
I'll be opening July commissions tomorrow - there won't be an August batch. Both for me to play a bit of catch up, and because my birthday is in August. I'll post the form both here and on my YouTube community tab and I'll be leaving it open for a week before selecting 20.
Commissions for November (and December) will be opening next Monday! The "theme" this time will be meme matchups! I'll be favoring really funny ideas, but really good normal ones are still possible to get picked. Keep an eye out for the form.
The much anticipated vocal version of Remnants Of The Soul is out now on my channel! With
@TherewolfMedia
joining me on the instrumental, and
@ladyigiko
and
@MaraxLen
on vocals, you can listen to it here:
Today I learned the company
@joinhitpiece
is illegally selling NFTs of my music. Really scummy business model to just steal people's content and then try to sell it behind the creators' backs.
I'm going to be having an eye surgery later today - it will keep me from working for a while. Aside from my metal EP I don't think I'll be posting any more tracks this year (Since the Metal EP is already finished and prepped for release)
In the middle of a move, so I won't be able to answer questions about commissions until at least next weekend (10-7 or later). 3 songs a week will continue to post in the meantime, but my computer is packed away for now.
My score for Talbain vs Sabrewulf dropped today, featuring
@TreWatsonMusic
I think it's the heaviest score I've done for DB, and damn it came out awesome!
Commissions for November/December are open at this link:
The theme this time is "memes" - funny matchup ideas, whether the characters are memes, the matchups are memes, let's try and think of some really over the top comedic ideas.
July Commissions are now open, and will remain so for the next week. If you've got any villain matchup ideas, I'm favoring them this time around (though I'm down to check everything out as always)
Have you ever wanted some OST to your dream matchup, made by one of the musicians behind Death Battle? I'm opening 10 commission slots for just that purpose! DM me for details and pricing!
Commissions for September 2023 are open for the next week! This time the theme is "songs with real drums". I'm feeling burnt out on writing orchestral and electronic drum parts so I'm most likely to pick up songs in styles that use drumsets.
Thank you, commissioners, for your patience with all these tracks so far. There's still a long way to go, so I hope you'll enjoy all the tracks I make as I work my way through the list and get to yours!
To the person who kept submitting Mori Calliope vs Pink Guy - where are you this time? I was thinking of actually doing it if you'll let me make it a rap battle style track lol
Holy shit. I've had the habit of shaking out my shoes/boots every time before I wear them just in case, and it finally actually saved me from a spider who had made my boot its home. Thank you random documentary from my childhood.
Commission time again! This month's theme will be "Sci-fi" - whether it's Space Opera or Cyberpunk. I've been feeling some of my best work lately is synth heavy, so I'm leaning into that.
Invoices for the September commissions, I'll try to get them out this weekend if I can. I'll also be trying to resume working on commissions, though I won't have a way to upload them for a bit.
Any interest in "Non-VS" commissions from me? could use a change of pace for a bit between v4 and v5. not a ton, just a few before diving into v5. Since I'm very close to the end of v4, finally.
A lifelong friend of mine passed away. I'll be taking some time off, though I don't think my upload schedule will be affected too much because of how far ahead I've been working. Thank you for your patience and understanding while I take some time away.
in case you live under a rock like a certain starfish... I got the actual voice of squidward in on this one, and made it unreasonably epic considering the MU.
Early AM tweet to say I'm hard at work on Volume 5 of the commissions. Fewer this time, more like 60 instead of over 100. Working on them while waiting on guest vocals for the last few v4 tracks. Hoping to open comms again in 6 weeks or so if things go smoothly.
Since I get asked this a lot, the current plan is to open commissions again in the back half of August. Not a guarantee but some time around then. I'll probably start taking on 20-25 a month and just opening monthly instead of so sporadically after that.
ETA on next comms opening = ~2 weeks. 20 slots. Will be switching to a 20 slots per month model starting from then.
Estimated wait time from commission to finished song = 4 months. Opinions on this setup moving forward?
One of the things I struggle with the most, writing so much music, is there are only so many ways to start a song. Soft intro? Go straight in? Drum fill? Swell in? I feel like I've done all of them too much lol
