Liverpool tapping up Alexander Isak and trying to unsettle Newcastle is unacceptable! If you want him, pay the £150m valuation! . Well done Newcastle United! Gone are the days when the so‑called “Top 4” could weaken other PL clubs by poaching their best players.

No clue why Newcastle fans are so upset. Understand the club isn’t at Liverpool’s level yet, take your 150m and use it to get there. If the club uses that money wisely the team will be much better for it.

Struggling to see how this is greedy or sly. Liverpool have been linked with Ekitike for ages - signing him isn’t linked to Newcastle’s interest. It’s possibly true that if we’d got Isak early then we may not have got them both but Liverpool are just looking after themselves.

Can’t quite work out who’s winning this striker tug of war. Suspect Liverpool always knew Isak was unlikely. Could possibly get Ekitike and Rodrygo for Isak money? That would seem like a decent option to me.

Henry’s bang on re the comms fiasco. This is a face saving exercise for Newcastle with their own fans. They need to get as much as they can for Isak and use the cash to get to where they want to get to. Feels a bit like when LFC sold Coutinho - on their terms and for a silly fee.
Judging by the reaction to the Alexander Isak situation, Newcastle United have lost the trust of some fans. The excuse of “minor thigh injury” didn’t wash with fans as a reason for Isak missing the tour, especially as the recuperating Lewis Hall travelled. Newcastle have good.

First full day in our Bahamian (is that the right word) paradise. Only dampener on the trip so far has been @British_Airways losing a travel cot and our car seats so we had to drive very very slowly from the airport with the twins in the back. Not impressed one bit.

Decent start for the @lionsofficial. Needed more off the bench though - felt like the defensive intensity dropped off when replacement forwards came on. Curry, Berne, Sheehan are awesome, centres did ok. Probably no more than a 7/10 though.
