That would flip the “DJ first, content creator second” relationship. Which is fine! . It’s just probably best to be honest about what the primary focus is. (“I’m a creator!”). Tho entirely up to them tbh.

Of course there will exist cases when it does. I think it’s more notable if there are many cases when it doesn’t. Eg people who discover a DJ through (say) their reels, value that DJ for a long period of time but never go beyond short form media (as per the original tweet…).

With the whole “old media won’t blow through new distro” aka “too many radio DJ sets” & “(short form) AG is the most influential DJ” discourse ( 💡 from the don @eli1ah )…. … I wonder if this “connect deeply with long form” funnel really applies to music now?.
