I'm devastated by the news about Alex Trebek. He was an icon and an outstanding human. If there's some small comfort in this, it's that he lived long enough to see the tremendous impact he had on so many lives. From this trivia nerd to one of my heroes: rest in peace, Alex.

Millionaire was huge for 12-year-old me and is part of the reason I'm obsessed with trivia now. I was so excited when I got tickets to one of the tapings and made my family travel to New York with me. Regis was a total professional, a great host and effortlessly funny. Sad news.
