Bill Hutson was a beloved member of the F&M community. We are so blessed that he gifted us with so much of his time and entrusted us with so much of his legacy. He was a warm, brilliant, generous presence among us, and we will miss him greatly.
We are sorry to share the regrettable news that Professor Emeritus and Jennie Brown Cook and Betsy Hess Cook Distinguished Artist-in-Residence, Bill Hutson, passed away September 21. Professor Rick Kent composed a memorial statement, excerpted in this 🧵

F&M is proud to partner with @educationusa, which recruits students around the world through college fairs, workshops, and more. This month we welcomed advisers from Mozambique, Bangladesh, Mongolia and Papua New Guinea to tour campus and learn more about our great community!
