Sunday marks one year since girls were banned from attending high school in Afghanistan. A year of lost knowledge and opportunity that they will never get back. Girls belong in school. The Taliban must let them back in.

Today we mark one year since Afghan girls saw their dreams derailed when they were banned from returning to secondary school. Afghanistan is the only country in the world that forbids girls' education. Girls belong in school. We must not forget them.

FACT! Women are less likely to survive and more likely to be injured during disasters, due to long standing gender inequalities that have created disparities in information, mobility, decision-making, and access to resources. Learn more 👉 https://t.co/1OCLGdcNuV

Fossil fuels are a dead end — for our planet, for humanity and for economies. A prompt, well-managed transition to renewables is the only pathway to energy security, universal access & the green jobs our world needs.

Tonight I am free and leaving Australia to start my life in the United States of America. But I won't be happy until all my friends are get released from detention. It's not freedom until we are all free. Thank you all for your support.

To the world: what is the point of saying «never again» for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating…

No new coal plants. No expansion in oil and gas exploration. Now is the time for an unprecedented investment surge in renewable energy - particularly in emerging & developing economies - tripling to $5 trillion dollars annually by 2030.

I came to Australia asking for safety when I was just 15 years old. Now I am 24 and still in detention. If I'm not a refugee, why would I endure such a difficult time as a child if I have the option to go back to where I came from? Even then, I'm not safe in detention either.

We are happy to concede so much power to politicians. Perhaps many think it’s fair enough for Djokovic to be booted out but it’s the same overreach that allows a politician to keep refugees locked up for 9 years. There but for the grace of a politician go I. Somewhat frightening.
