This started as a game jam project, but after a really positive response after showing the game, we decided to make it into a full game! What are some other mechanics we could do with this setup?

Finished participating in the #GMTKJam! Really proud of this game made in 4 days, with a hard pivot on day 2. For some people it's either the most relaxing game, or the most stressful game of the jam, which is really confusing to me. Check it out! https://t.co/OYrjfGNUxa

The final touch was adding sound. I spent a lot of time just chillin with this legal pad.

We used a few curves to fine tune the page animations. The curve tells us how each property changes as you drag and move the page over time.

By using two “limbs” at the top and bottom of the page, we can curl the page at different rates depending on where you start the drag

For the page turning, we used a skeleton (in blue and green) to easily bend the vertices along the plane. Each bone turns a little bit more than the last to get that page curl at the beginning of the turn.

Using three.js, we started with couple of planes stacked on top of each other to make the pages.

Since the machine was real, we wanted to add something digital that people could interact with. A user manual was the prefect fit giving extra details about the machine, and we knew from the beginning we wanted a satisfying page turning experience.

Now that Black Friday / Cyber Monday is wrapped up, I want to share a little bit about how we built the manual on https://t.co/NzrZdKzPGS
