Buying a hardware wallet for cold storage is a bit overkill imo. Just write down 12 words on a piece of paper and store it somewhere save. Or are there people using their hardware wallet to make actual transactions?

It's called 'bitrequest' because it is specialised in requesting crypto on your public keys. You can't spend. Only accept. As long as you hold the private keys you can spend it in any compatible wallet; https://t.co/Cu3c8ypCeI
