100% of everything Musk has ever done has been in service of a Mars Colony. Some of it direct: Reusable Rockets, Solar, Tunnels, Robots, Satellite networks. Some of it indirect: Increased global connectivity, freedom of speech, recentering STEM. AI is no different.
Musk's change in strategy, from Mars to AI is interesting.

Belief in the big bang is faith. Belief in the simulation theory is faith. Being a science enjoyoor doesn't absolve you of faithful beliefs. It just pushes them out a little further.
Can someone please ELI5 how you can be religious, have Bible quotes in bio etc, but also practice Computer Science?. Having faith is based and awesome but there is the whole science thing no? How do you deal with science being valid in one area of your life but not another?.
