Pretty embarrassing that when people ask me what I do for fun I blank and answer "read old cases on CanLii.".

Disappointing that Edward Norton is in Glass Onion and even more disappointing that he isn't murdered within the first 10 minutes.

Reading back issues of New Breed and working on this article with Mike was such a pleasure. New Breed's archive has been entirely digitized and I really encourage people to go back and read them because they're truly entertaining and inspiring .

Just beyond awed and grateful to see my name alongside all these brilliant, principled people in the 50th anniversary issue of the magazine that has impacted my life more than any other publication.

I woke up this morning when it was still dark and Maeve was sitting on my bedside table, completely motionless, just staring at me and she didn't move even when I said her name, so I'm pretty sure I'm haunted.

A television should be 900 lbs and you should be able to store doilies in its drawers.

I hope people on food stamps are feasting tonight and tomorrow. I hope people are eating delicious meals made up of ingredients that were 100% shoplifted. I hope poor people everywhere are having an amazing Christmas despite the way that the world relentlessly grinds them down.

The thing that is wrong with the world is *checks notes* that sometimes poor people eat shrimp.

Maybe democracy just needs to work out more, get outside in the fresh air. Maybe the environment should start a gratitude list.

This year has been terrible for the environment and democracy and life in general, but it has been quite good for me, so I guess all the other things are just not trying hard enough.

I think the NORAD Santa Tracker is good because it teaches children from a young age that the government is willing to use its almost limitless resources to engage in petty deceptions.

Last night at D&D we were in combat with this unicorn that WOULD NOT DIE and kept suffering from ever grislier wounds and we were all feeling so bad about it that our DM had to remind us that it had tried to kill us.

I think that opening Scarth Street to traffic is good. Downtown is already terrifying because it's filled with empty businesses and poorly lit parking lots. You should also have to fight for your life in traffic. It just makes sense.
