So people who reported rarities had them ignored because they came through the band group. Vindictive mismanagement of the Irish Rare Bird Recording System by #theIRBC. Apparently everyone is fine with that! 😂😂😂 #irishbirding

And so they just plod along, throwing every spoofer who wants to pretend they're top men on there, with zero accountability. There's no consequences for their behavior, failures or blatant lack of ability. 😂 And certainly none for wilfully damaging the Irish Rare Bird record.🤦

Difficult to convey just how ridiculous #theIRBC mentality in #irishbirding is. An entire community prepared to pretend that everything is working fine, despite an abundance of evidence to the contrary. 😂 Zero ability to conceive of things working better or how to get there.
When it's just one person who is wrong, getting them to acknowledge that can be an insurmountable task. Getting an entire community to admit it is wrong? Nigh on impossible. Collective responsibility is a non-starter in #irishbirding #theIRBC
