review: if you think Marvel’s tales of Thor hanging w/ an Iron Man, a green Hulk & a witch are weird, the Norse say, “Hold my mead!” w/ 8-legged horses, a world-encircling serpent, 1 chariot pulled by resurrected goats & another by cats. @GeorgetheMighty

review: I just was all too rarely startled by language, surprised by plotting, or moved by characters . hard therefore to recommend save for completists . but these are the stories that struck me as standouts. @fanl

review: "As exciting as much of the action is, as thoughtful and moving as the themes are, and as enjoyable the ride is with our two main characters, my favorite element is the mythos that lies at its core". @TitanBooks @FanLit

review: If the fast-paced action will be to the liking of many a young reader, it’s also a barrier. The pace, combined with the episodic one-island-after-another structure, means we don’t linger in any scene or emotion for very long. @FanLit

review: "sharp in its criticism of society . even as it is tender toward its characters, thoughtful & moving even as it is spartan in its dialogue & language . lingers in the mind for some time after . the last page". @ErewhonBooks @FanLit

Review: “Thematically, this is a story that deals a lot with trauma. It’s also, at this point, more a survival story than a resistance story, or maybe a better way of putting it is it’s a story where survival is the resistance”. @JamesSACorey @FanLit
