There's 4 toybox illustrations now completed, with M.A.S.K, WWF, Turtles, M.U.S.C.L.E, Battle Beast's, Transformers & GI Joe planned, amongst a few other obscure surprises to delight fellow 80s toy enthusiasts.
Doing a deep dive on Aardman Animation for a work thing, I hadn't quite realized they were responsible for some of the most iconic adverts on Britain TV.
So one for you 80s kids, can you remember what this character used to advertise?
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Battle of the Planets?
This one's a little before my time, although I think I saw an episode of this at my Grandparents house in the mid 80's and my little mind was blown.
As a lifetime watcher of the Australian soap Neighbours I was understandably saddened to hear of its possible demise.
So I thought I would create my own tribute with this illustration.
Made up of a 100 or so characters from the show, can you find Bouncer?
#SaveNeighbours
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers the Raccoons?
This should be an easy one because it had some of the best theme tunes ever!
Gold star if you can name the bad guy (easy) double gold star if you can name the bad guy's son.
Today's Blast from the Past, let's go for a classic, who remembers Ulysses 31?
What's that in your head right now? Why it's the theme tune on loop of course 😁
I watched this as a nipper, then as a teenager at college in the 90's when it was on before Big Breakfast.
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Trap Door?
Am I right in thinking this was on a Saturday morning TV show called Motormouth?.. I could be wrong..
Today's Blast from the Past: Let's make it the best Saturday morning cartoon ever.. Who remembers Dungeons & Dragons?
Of course you do.. Why don't they just make a film based on this animated show?
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Button Moon?
I remember coming home from Nursery and watching this followed by Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors.
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Roobarb?
If you do remember, you should be hearing that theme tune in your head.. riiiggght.. about now! Go! 😂
Today's Blast from the Past: As it's a Saturday, time for a Saturday morning cartoon! Who remembers Centurions?
Gold star if you can name the characters names.
These are toys I coveted as a kid (but never had) and to this day, still want in my collection.
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Wizbit?
Gold star if you can sing the theme tune, second gold star if you can then get that song out of your head 😆
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Bucky O'Hare?
I think the makers of this thought this was going to be the next big phenomenon after TMNT.. 90s kids had other ideas..
Still, great cartoon, full of invention..
So here it finally is, the latest addition to the
#toybox
series.
This is every G1 Transformers toy released in the US.. So big, that it barely makes sense here on small screens.
This damn near killed me and is by far the most complex picture I've ever undertaken!!
Finally completed my Real Ghostbusters illustration to add to my
#toybox
series.. It proved to be my most epic undertaking! First pic is the full illustration, the second 2 are close ups of details and finally the HUGE print. By all means show GB love by ❤ & RT'ing ✌
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends?
Certainly one of my faves, favourite episode is where I think a Space Invaders arcade comes to life.. This may've been first place I came across Wolverine..
Today's Blast from the Past, is actually one I don't remember, this was a request by
@sanctuaryvilla
okay who remembers a show called Spatz?
I don't, but some of those cast faces I know.
Continuing my
#DirectorsCut
images, where I reimagine the world's greatest directors as a series of action figures.
This time around it's
@ThatKevinSmith
director of Clerks, MallRats, Jay & Silent Bob and more.
There's 2 to collect, pre or post widowmaker heart attack! You choose
Today's Blast from the Past: Another classic, who remembers Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors?
There you go, you're singing the theme tune in your head for the rest of the day 😆
Gold star if you can name the little sidekick knight.
Double gold star if you can name the bad guy.
So, I said a couple of weeks ago that I got a dream job... And here it is!!
I finally got my shot at an Empire subscriber cover!!!
It's been essentially a lifelong ambition to work on a cover for this title, it's a magazine I've read every month for 20 years!
#dreamcometrue

Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Captain Planet?
Gold star if you can sing the theme tune.
Double gold star if you don't confuse it with the Captain Scarlet theme tune, which I seem to do.
One for
#EastEnders
fans!
EastEnders: Where's Willy? If you find him, try to find Rollie next.
Over 200 characters celebrating the history of the British soap!
Prints now available, Link in bio for my online shop to purchase.
Today's Blast from the Past: (UK only I think) Who remembers Jamie's Magic Torch?
I only have brief memories of this, as I was just a tad young when this aired.
Here we go Twitter! The magazine cover I waited my entire life to illustrate!
So proud to introduce the

Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Mike & Angelo?
Erm.. Actually this is another one that slipped me by, apparently it ran for 12 series?!! I hadn't heard of it until recently..
IT'S SHOWTIME!!
I think this is what the kids call a "mash up"
Again, having come off a month of some pretty intensive work and deadlines, just cutting loose and having some fun.. This really is an unabashed piece of fan art.
#Ghostbusters
#Beetlejuice
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Pugwall?
Australia's greatest export since: Neighbours, InXs, Crowded House, Dane Edna, Crocodile Dundee, Round the Twist, Mad Max..
Today's Blast from the Past: By popular demand, who remembers The Mysterious Cities of Gold?
Unlike your western cartoons, I believe this show actually had an ending btw.
Coming off the back of some difficult commercial projects, I've had a bit of time off this week.. So I thought I'd have a bit of fun.
Had this idea floating around for an age, and it was my original concept for my entry in the Ghostbusters Artbook by
@PrintedinBlood
Apparently, if you can see two people hugging, you're left-brained, and if you can see a dinosaur, you're right-brained. What do you see in the mountain?
I did draw 102 of these figures, but 97 was the number that made the final image.. I was aiming for 99 to coincide with the year of release!
Hugest heartfelt thank you's to all at team Empire for making dreams come true with this cover!
For Empire's
#StarWars
prequels subscriber cover, the wonderful
@bill_mcconkey
illustrated 97 – yes, *97* – individual characters from the trilogy.
Which is your favourite?
Today's Blast from the Past: Let's go back to the 90's, who remembers Biker Mice from Mars?
Another cartoon that was lauded as the next TMNT, this one, I remember being pretty good.
The Neighbours print has finally gone on sale!!
I've added 20+ new characters and made a few alterations to make it an even better image.
This is the A3 print, I may do an extra large edition at a later date if there was call.
Today's Blast from the Past: Later than usual and let's go obscure, who remembers The Pirates of Dark Water?
I'd actually forgotten about this one myself..
Hey Artists! Got to work on some fantastic IP earlier in the year for a HUGE client.
I'm going to attempt to pay it forward: I've been asked to suggest other artists for the next project.
Reply below with samples.
Things I can tell you:
Long deadline
Very good money
Amazing IP
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Around the World with Willy Fogg?
If you were brought up in the 80s and don't recall this show, I'm allowed by law (probably) to come around to your house and hit you over the head with a large stick.
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Terrahawks?
Or should I say, if you've seen it, you'll never ever forget it, or sleep again😆
This was made for kids?!.. Look at Zelda and family!!! 😨
Today's Blast from the Past: I'm going more obscure today, really test the grey matter.. Who remembers the cartoon Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?
It even had a toy line btw.. Which I would love, but cost 💵💵
Today's Blast from the Past: Let's go kind of obscure again, who remembers RoboCop the Animated series?
That's right they made a Saturday morning cartoon out of a decidedly R rated film!
Today's Blast from the Past: Continuing with the 90s theme, who remembers Toxic Crusaders?
Personally, one of my all-time faves (from what I remember) and the toy line is one of the greatest ever made IMO.
After a brief hiatus and because someone brought it up in conversation, here's the return of Blast from the Past.
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers The Raggy Dolls?
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers Dennis?
Known as Dennis the Menace stateside I believe, and not to be confused with the UK character.. Also went on to a really good live action movie!
Today's Blast from the Past: Let's get the ol' grey matter working and go a bit more obscure, who remembers Towser?
Must admit I'd all but forgotten this little scamp, until brought up in comments yesterday.
Now I did do this one before I started doing these regular Blast from the Past tweets, so here you go again, who remembers Sharky and George?
Cue the theme tune in your head for the next few hours.. 😆
M-M-M-M.A.S.K.
Is the mighty power that can save the day!
After a hiatus finally got a break in my deadlines to complete the next image in the Toybox series, and this time it's M.A.S.K!
So hopefully this is every figure and vehicle & accessory from the toy line!
Today's Blast from the Past: Who remembers the original series of Inspector Gadget?
Was never sure about the casting of Matthew Broderick in the movies, latter day Broderick has all the charisma of a rich tea biscuit.
Finally got my copy of
#ghostbustersartbook
by
@TitanBooks
which features my illustration on the cover, here it is sitting with a couple of oversized prints I created last year, when I was colour proofing.. If there's call for it, I may make prints available on the store.
