@MOFA_Taiwan
Deepest gratitude to the people of Taiwan. As future Vice President, I am committed to working with
@ChingteLai
to ensure the continuing peace and prosperity of our country.
#TeamTaiwan
Back in Taiwan! Honored to join
@ChingteLai
on the ticket as VP for 2024. Tough road ahead expected as I shoulder a heavier burden. Taiwan’s democracy deserves our best efforts.
It has been an honor to represent Taiwan in the US. As I embark on another challenging path, I am truly grateful to all who have worked with me to strengthen the Taiwan US partnership over the last three years.
Taiwan sells many products, but our freedom and democracy are not for sale. Any lasting proposal for our future must be determined peacefully, free from coercion, and respectful of the democratic wishes of the people of Taiwan.
Extremely grateful for this timely support of vaccines for Taiwan. US leadership in the global fight against COVID-19 is life-saving. Democracy delivers!
Wheels up! Our donation of 2.5 million vaccine doses is on the way to Taiwan, whose health partnership with the U.S. helped save lives here and around the world.
@StateDept
is proud to support
@POTUS
’ commitment to help the world defeat COVID-19.
I was honored to meet Secretary
@mikepompeo
. Taiwan is grateful for his friendship and support. We look forward to continuing discussions on the longstanding friendship and partnership between Taiwan and the United States. Pineapple cakes served.
Great to see Taiwan Rep.
@bikhim
yesterday. As Secretary of State, I worked to support Taiwan — a fellow democracy — in the face of unrelenting pressure. The U.S. shares with Taiwan the core values of freedom, democracy, and a free market economy.
Sorry to disappoint so many supporters, but Taiwan Ambassador is what many call me and also my job description. My title remains Representative, Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office, when engaging with the US government.
I am NOT in the mood for happy hour, but I had to try out the new drink we will start serving at the Twin Oaks starting next week. Made with Lithuanian 🇱🇹 Rum and Taiwan 🍍 juice. I think I will call this the

Remembering the times I met with Abe-san over the years. He was not only a charismatic leader of global stature, but a warm person who was a true friend of the Taiwanese people. His vision, legacy, warmth and friendship will always have an important place in our hearts.
If Beijing CCP thinks they can restrict Taiwan’s international space and stifle the voices of the Taiwanese people by sanctioning us, they are wrong. Where there is oppression, there will be resistance.
“The strong should not bully the weak,” President Xi said. “Decisions should not be made by simply showing off strong muscles or waving a big fist.”

An honor to meet
@EnesFreedom
, with admiration for his courage and commitment in advocating human rights. Looking forward to welcoming him to Taiwan in the future.
In our Taiwan culture, a circle carries meanings of wholesome and full. So a donut after an important task is completed is a must, especially when the task involves a circular cycle of kindness. Thanks 🇺🇸 😻

For decades, Taiwan has welcomed members of US Congress in the spirit of friendship between our peoples, exemplifying our strong partnership in supporting shared values and common interests in democracy, human rights, peace, and prosperity.
Our delegation’s visit to Taiwan honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant Democracy.
Our discussions with Taiwan leadership reaffirm our support for our partner & promote our shared interests, including advancing a free & open Indo-Pacific region.
As atrocities unfold in Ukraine, in Taiwan we commemorate the tragic 228 massacre of 75 years ago. We are reminded that we must stand strong to defend the freedoms that took generations to win.
The people of Taiwan are peace-loving, diligent, and generous. When we are a force for good in the world, people will want to help us, too. I am grateful to the guardian angels who are helping and supporting us in so many ways.
Proud to see our President
@iingwen
on the TIME100 List. Taiwan may be a small country, but we can have great influence when doing the right thing.
A small step for
@State_E
, but a big step for Taiwan. We have been unfairly bullied, threatened, and isolated by China for years. Thanks to all the people who helped to make this trip happen, Democratic Taiwan deserves more international space.
My friend
@GerritWees
dug up these old photos, where I saw myself protesting outside the PRC embassy in DC when China conducted missile drills toward Taiwan in 1996. Vivid memories.
I’m far away, but thinking about the competitive local elections in Taiwan and wishing my brothers and sister the best in their campaigns! 😻👍💪

Taiwanese passport holders, as citizens of the world, continued to be barred from accessing tours and events in the UN. The journalists are right on point. This is unjust and an affront to the UN spirit of universality and inclusion.
This is how the

On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, let me once again thank our many bicameral, bipartisan friends in the US Congress who have helped keep this partnership strong!
She’s just half my age, but with admirable courage and strength. Democracy doesn’t come about easily. So many before us made sacrifices, and I hope the current sacrifices in the battle for freedom in HK will one day bear fruit.
Bi-khim Hsiao has powerful insider access as Taiwan's senior diplomat to the U.S. But because the U.S. doesn't officially recognize Taiwan as an independent nation, she's technically not an ambassador, and flying her flag could cause a diplomatic incident.
Such an honor to represent Taiwan in signing this milestone agreement of the US-Taiwan Initiative on 21 Century Trade. Thanks to the commitments of both USG USTR and Taiwan negotiators to high standards, look forward to deepening trade.
A big thanks to bipartisan members of Congress who unanimously voted to support Taiwan’s observer status with the WHO. The WHO is more effective when it is inclusive, and

in global health.
Shocked and saddened by the fatal shooting at the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in California. I join the families of the victims and Taiwanese American communities in grief and pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded survivors. 🙏
Glad to see some old friends during my recent trip to Honolulu. Though no longer the AIT Director, Brent Christensen continues to care about Taiwan and our partnership. Real friends, real progress.
As earthquake rescue and recovery efforts are still ongoing, grateful to all around the world who have conveyed well wishes and support to the Taiwanese people during this difficult time.
Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to earthquakes in Taiwan today. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. We stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Taiwan as they endure the aftermath and recover from
A big thanks to Poland 🇵🇱 for the donation of 400,000 Covid-19 vaccines to Taiwan. This is in addition to the generosity of 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 and EU friends 🇱🇹 🇨🇿 🇸🇰. The circle of kindness and friendship is growing, and we are stronger together.
I am honored to have been appointed by President Tsai to represent Taiwan in the United States. It will be challenging times but there are also tremendous opportunities to further strengthen the important Taiwan-US bilateral relationship.
Unable to hold a National Day reception at Twin Oaks due to the pandemic this year, instead we have made masks for our American friends, continuing a partnership that is stronger together.
Spoke to Biden policy advisor
@ABlinken
to convey Taiwan’s congratulations to the President-elect. Appreciated bipartisan support for US relations with

Thank you

This morning the 🇱🇹 Lithuanian Government approved donation of 20 thousand vaccines to 🇹🇼

. I am proud that we can, albeit in a small way, to show solidarity with the Taiwanese people in combatting the COVID-19. Freedom-loving people should look out for each other!
My one year anniversary in this position, which is not only a job, but a mission. Grateful for all the friends who have supported my work and the rock-solid Taiwan US partnership.
As Taiwan wakes up to the 10-10 National Day celebrations, Taiwanese and Chinese American communities in the DC area are also holding events in the spirit of solidarity, to highlight the strength of Taiwan’s democracy and the resilience of our nation.
This “crazy, tiny country” happens to be a freedom-loving country just doing what other EU countries have done — open an office in Taiwan. And yes, small countries can be courageous, principled, and better respected than big giant bullies.

I was honored to meet with HE Terrance Drew, PM of St Kitts & Nevis during his visit to DC. An opportunity to reaffirm our ties and thank him for supporting Taiwan’s international participation.

The work is from Weiwei’s memory when he was forced to disappear for 81days
In China,people can “legally” disappear for months without notifying family nor lawyers for “national security mater”
Regrettable that the Honduran government has betrayed Taiwan’s friendship for China. They will soon realize that whatever the CCP did to lure them will be nothing but empty promises and malign influence.
Felicidades al pueblo paraguayo! I was honored to meet

during his visit to DC. Tonight I’m raising a big cup of yerba mate 🧉 to salute to a successful new presidency in Paraguay, & to friendship & prosperity of our two peoples. 🇹🇼🤝 🇵🇾
“My message to the people of Taiwan, is keep Taiwan FREE.” Thanks for standing with Taiwan, and for using your platform to give voice to the Tibetans, Uyghurs and Hong Kongers who are deprived of the freedom to have a voice.

This is one of the interviews where I shared some Taiwan perspectives on the Chinese PLA military drills that are escalating tensions and disrupting stability in the region. PBS Newshour
South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol grabbed a mic and sang the Don Mclean classic “American Pie” to an astonished audience at the White House state dinner.
“I had no damn idea you could sing,” Biden told his counterpart.
