The Lomo Spinner camera has no shutter. Outside light is ALWAYS hitting the film. Yet it can still take (very nice) photos.

Pocket Fiche is the densest and longest-lasting human-readable information storage media. You have 3 days left to be part of the message it sends to the future. https://t.co/ut2yXZrzdK

(of course since rulings like dormant commerce clause, now the federal government has effective power over states, which probably moves the locus of power even farther away from where you'd optimally want it)

It is a quirk of history that all authority in the United States flows from the state- up to the federal government and down to the individual.

When are we going to see a spotify, but rather than picking the best next song from a fixed catalog, it instead synthesizes the absolute optimal best song for you right now? Happier users, and no rights costs.

Not all life on earth is solar powered. There are microbes that live in the crust at the bottom of the ocean that eat hydrogen produced by radioactive decay of the surrounding rock.

You can learn a lot about a city from how many of the exhibits at the science museum are busted.

Soon they will be to constrain you to the space of CORRECT programs. We are getting close and that is going to be amazing because after that they will be able to find the optimal correct program in that space for whatever loss function (combination of eg short, simple, fast).

What you really want is "take this valid program and move it along this vector to another valid program" and the LLMs are pretty great for that. So much more efficient to move around in valid program space than be constantly searching for the next valid program.

Feb. 26, 2026, Trump will bribe Israel to falsely declare Trump "messiah". The unholy price Trump pays: a treaty allowing Israel to build "Trump's Temple" on Temple Mount. The title "Messiah" is not for sale. It belongs only to Jesus Christ, who died for OUR sins and rose again!

The point of compilers and lint tools is also to constrain you to valid programs, but they are terrible because they do not let you move easily between different valid programs. Changing one letter of a valid program in a normal editor often makes it invalid.

Current LLMs are just good enough to constrain the program you are creating to be inside the space of VALID programs in some human readable high level representation.

You should only site an LLM as a source when you are making claims about what the LLM said, never when you are making claims about facts or the world.

Soon we will see the idea of eating "whole foods" as quaint. Instead of trusting random, dirty, and inefficient processes, we will intentionally design and synthesize the optimal mix of the molecules and structures you need in your food- and you don't think you like that but you

Things will get interesting when you try to "merge" an updated model snapshot into an existing prompt stream and manage how that shows up as changes in the final output. View changes for merging in a new model snapshot will be like "App now runs 10x faster, but the border now has

The user side of prompt conversations are the new source code. Everything else is an artifact- including the generated code. New version control should track model snapshot & seed/temp as the base image, and then the linear stream of what the user typed into the prompt window
