Arkansas students head back to school this month, and thanks to the work of our organizations, hundreds of adults will be heading back, too.

Check out this amazing profile of ATC 2019 fellow Nneka Love! Thank you @Rural_Schools for featuring our outstanding rural teachers and the impactful work they do! Thank you Nneka for all you do for the students of Lee County SD! #ATCfamily #EmpoweredTeachers #EmpowerStudents
Education can be difficult, but rural teachers are making intentional choices to remain committed to the people & places they serve, such as Nneka Love, a Kindergarten teacher entering her 5th year at the Anna Strong Learning Academy in Marianna, AR.

It’s great to see @ArkTeacherCorps alumni being celebrated nationally for the tremendous work they do. Congratulations to @PineBluffSD teacher TyKesha Cross for this inspiring feature on the TODAY Show!
Teacher Tykesha Cross credits her mentor Yolanda Prim for saving her life by getting her back in the classroom — first as a student and then as a teacher. @PriscillaWT shares their emotional reunion ❤️

We're so proud of @ArkTeacherCorps, which offers an accelerated teaching path at a time when many Arkansas schools are facing severe teacher shortages. A new $3.6 million Walton Family Foundation grant will help expand and strengthen the program. https://t.co/4EqQOlr8Rm

The Arkansas Teacher Corps recently shifted from recruiting newer college grads to helping teachers already working but who aren't licensed. It now offers its intensive training and ongoing coaching virtually, too.

@teachplusar A5: long term we need higher pay + better benefits + accessible medical care (physical AND mental)...but a more immediate step would be confidential wellness coaching and mental health services for adults in the building

@teachplusar Q4: I would say to start small with whatever feels most urgent or necessary and is easily done. It's better to build momentum and not feel overwhelmed by adding too much too fast. Also remembering to "change" or "remove" as much as we "add" #SelfCareSeptember

@teachplusar A2: when I feel my heart start racing = box breathing (4 counts in, hold for 4, 4 out) + sensory grounding (5 things I see, 4 I can touch, 3 I can hear, 2 I can smell, & 1 I can taste) #SelfCareSeptember
