F1 Wins AMPS feature film award Apple’s movie, F1, has been named the winner of the 2026 AMPS Award for Excellence in Sound for a Feature Film, as voted by members of the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS).

The film screens Thursday, February 5, at 2 p.m. at The Arlington Theatre and will be followed by a post-screening conversation with legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Those hoping to get a peek of the actor will only have about two weeks to catch him out and about in Dublin. Then he'll be jetting off to other parts of Europe for further filming, including Greece.

"I remember on the set of Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood, I watched Brad Pitt sit and hang out with the transpo department," Sweeney recalled. "I absolutely loved that, and I was like, 'Yeah, you have to respect everybody in your life.'

While on set for the 2019 Quentin Tarantino film, Sweeney took particular notice of Pitt's kindness to everyone who worked on the movie, she said, and recalled wanting to reflect the same quality in herself.

He is set to spend two weeks in the country as he films for his role in The Riders, before moving on to shoot in other locations across Europe. The actor is believed to be staying in Dalkey, in South Dublin, as he shoots for the film.

“We are thrilled to welcome this major production,” the Mayor stated, noting Hydra’s storied past as a cinematic destination. The mayor revealed that the production team is expected to bring several hundred crew members to the island.

Speaking on a Greek morning show on Thursday, the Mayor of Hydra, George Koukoudakis, confirmed that the international production is scheduled to film on the island from late February through mid-March.
