That’s five hours of love, service, and strength that often goes unseen. Let’s start naming it for what it is, work that is meaningful. #CareCounts #ValueEveryCare

Unpaid care work is the invisible labor that keeps our world running. You see the clean clothes, the well taken care of sick family member, but rarely the hands behind it all. In Kenya, women spend about 5 hours a day on unpaid care, compared to just 1 hour for men.

Care is the invisible foundation on which our families and communities rest. In his powerful piece, @chryspin_afifu reminds us that care work isn’t just women’s work, it’s human work. It’s time we all shared the care. Read more: https://t.co/CpbdRz4qXC #CareCounts @ICRWAfrica

@MKapombe Nobody should lose income because of caregiving....employers should be considerate of caregiving...how about caregiving leave?

@MKapombe Care giving reminds us to treat our care receivers the way we would want to be taken care of in our time of need. Most people tend to be ignorant about it until it knocks their personal doors#timetocare

@MKapombe Care giving is not easy. It breaks you in ways you dont anticipate. You fight battles nobody knows and you keep a brave face so you dont crumble. We really need to celebrate care givers.

@MKapombe Too many women have put their dreams, and ambitions on hold to care for their loved ones, often without recognition, support, or pay. Their sacrifices keep families running, yet their work remains invisible. It’s time we value care as the essential labor that sustains life.
