There is a small chance I might just fall down out of excessive incidents of minor drama causing tiny cracks in my brain until it just shatters due to the weight of a thousand inconsequential things. I am finding this hilarious but am slightly worried for the shatter.

Every so often I see someone on TV and think, woah, they have such a great face. And I don't mean perfect or flawless or obviously beautiful, although I always find great faces beautiful. I wonder how many people I've met in real life and never told them their face was great.

Just heading in for a diabetic retinopathy scan the day after a kaleidoscope aura migraine, which I thought was gone but whichever invisible entity has their thumbs on my eyes is continuing to press very slightly harder, very slowly. What could possibly go wrong?

Yesterday was quite productive, I tidied and clean and did lots of laundry and dried it in the sun, but it was all at quite a chilled pace. But this morning my arms and legs and back ache as if I had worked much harder than I did. So today I am resting as if I earned it.

Just starting the day with anxiety about how anxious I will be by the end of the day because of trying to calm the anxiety through self care and failing to achieve the long list of things making me so anxious I can't remember any of them. Nothing about this isn't idiotic.

About an hour after I woke up I remembered I dreamed someone video called me and I answered which is hilarious because no way that would happen in real life. I remembered a few minutes ago that it did actually happen in real life. This morning was a rollercoaster

I don't take long periods off work and I joke that it makes it harder to to back but in February I was on holiday then sick and a full fortnight away from work has left me really fucked up. Escher's Relativity style anxiety spiral for the entirety of the last month.

Whenever I make beans on toast and do a whole tin of beans to two slices of toast I always think, woah, that's so many beans, but then I always end up with beanless toast at the end. If anyone can turn that into a metaphor that makes me sound clever that'd be cool thanks.

The other day I saw an Instagram reel of Pedro Pascal speaking Spanish and I understood every word of the interview and I don't know whether he just has one of those mad good clear as a bell accents or whether he speaks clearly consciously but either way I love it and him.

I have nothing to add to IWD. Give credit where it's due. Pay folk what they're worth. Don't abuse people you perceive to be weaker than you. Don't make people weaker than you because you perceive they aren't and it scares you, even if being scared also scares you. Be kind.

The optician's assistant was fabulous as ever, she's always a winner. No fuss, just booked me in when The Optician is on holiday so I can see the temp cover instead.

I didn't shake or apologise or anything. She (optician) was dismissive, justified her lack of action by her lack of knowledge, and made me feel unnecessarily demanding for following her predecessor's instructions. I have no interest in her opinions, medical or otherwise.

Today I am proud of myself for remembering to ask the optician's assistant whether my next appointment will be with the same optician as my last appointment was, and then when told that yes it would, asking that it not be.

Again, I was ALREADY LYING DOWN IN MY BED. I had to get up out of bed to recalibrate. Also, headrushes like never before. And headrushes aren't a regular occurrence for me at the best of times. It isn't the flu, thank god. Flu symptoms without flu severity. Interesting.
